I am a fabricator/scenic artist, Sesame Street will always hold a special place in my heart. I cut my teeth on the Party Parade floats; three months out of college, in my first professional fabrication position, and my very first project was this parade. I worked on every aspect of these floats, learning new techniques and skills all along the way. During the process I learned how to: fiberglass, body work, weld, use paint guns, and any other weird problem solving technique used in the art of fabrication. I proved myself on these floats. I am not going to lie to you, the first time I saw the parade live, and I saw the level of joy these floats brought children and their families, I ugly cried while standing twelve feet in the air on a scissor lift. As goofy as that is, I knew in that instant that everything I had done up to that point to make it in this career was worth it.
